Is my note really private?
Yes. If you set a passcode, the note is encrypted in your browser using AES-GCM before it is sent to our server. We cannot read it.
What happens when a note expires or is burned?
It is permanently deleted from our database and storage. There is no recovery.
Can I attach files?
Yes — PDFs, images, documents, etc. (max 10 MB). Files are deleted together with the note.
Do you keep any backups?
No. Once deleted, the note and file are gone forever.
Is GhostPad open source?
Not yet, but we plan to make it open source soon.
